Job Summary


The FO Copywriter enhances the experiences of our marketing and creative material through writing in order to better and further our cause. This position requires a full and robust knowledge of writing principles, grammar mechanics, and AP style, along with excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, ability to write short-form and long-form content, and exceptional storytelling skills. The person in this role will need to be a team player with a strong sense of purpose, a humble confidence, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage their time wisely.

Part Time Copywriter Responsibilities Include:


  • Working directly with the Director of Marketing & Creative
  • Attending interviews and necessary meetings to understand the full vision of For Others
  • Writing and editing all outward-facing written organizational content
  • Proof reading organizational content
  • Helping to manage the For Others Messaging Guide and make necessary updates
  • Telling compelling stories through written content
  • Staying up-to-date on content and writing trends
  • Creating content through AP style guidelines
  • Personally owning all external-facing written content, and making sure there are no typos or information errors
  • Performing other duties as required by the Director of Marketing & Creative

You Must Have


  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Writing, English, Communications, or a related field
  • Previous professional experience serving as a staff copywriter or editor.
  • Proven ability to write compelling content and stories
  • Excellent relational and communication skills, both verbal and writing
  • Excellent grammar and mechanics understanding
  • Robust knowledge and ability to work with the AP style
